Plateau United have ended their five-year absence from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), after they beat Spotlight of Katsina 2-1 on Sunday to win promotion.
Adamawa United also picked up a 2-1 win at Supreme Court of Abuja, but lost out on goals difference to Plateau, after both clubs finished with 29 points.
Plateau finished with +15, while Adamawa had +7.
The Jos club joins Ikorodu United, MFM FC and Niger Tornadoes, in gaining promotion to the top flight.
Kaduna United crushed Yobe Desert Warriors 3-0 in their final match of the season, to ensure they stayed up in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
