More reactions have continued to trail the dissolution of Local Government Council in Plateau State by the Governor, Barrister Simon Lalong, as the PDP has condemned the action of the governor, saying “the governor’s lack of political will to control his inert will” is his major challenge.
This was disclosed by the Secretary of the party, Mr. Amos Gwong, Saturday in Jos, while briefing journalists at the party secretariat. He said, “this is the position of the PDP Chairmen and Councillors in the State.”
Gwong said, “Recent body language from the Simon Lalong government that was well rehearsed and displayed by his political cohorts showed the Governor’s lack of political will to control his inert will.
“Like the wind being tossed here and there, the Governor lacks a sense of focus and direction and acts on impulses, and speaks from both ends of his mouth, making him unstable, and a situational leader without a defined perspective.
On the real intention of governor Lalong to dissolve the Councils, he said, “This month’s allocation to the 17 LGAs was the largest this year, where the sum of N40 billion was to be shared to these Local Councils to pay their staff and run the government at that level of governance.”
