Following yesterday’s killing of scores of persons in some communities of Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State and with mounting tension in various communities, the state government has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South LGAs of the state.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Hon. Rufus Bature, and made available to journalists in Jos.
It reads, “The Plateau State Government has imposed curfew in Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South to avert a breakdown of law and order.
“Movement is restricted from 6pm to 6am, except those on essential duties”.
