Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, has said the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) leadership tussle, has turned Nigeria’s football into a war zone.
Dalung was reacting to the ongoing legal battle between Amaju Pinnick and Chris Giwa, over who should be the president of the football house.
“Nothing united us as sports especially football, but that was then,” Dalung wrote on his Facebook page.
“But nothing divides us currently like football. The struggle for the glass house has converted the place into another Nigerian Syria, where terrorists’ war style is mobilized to liquidate perceived enemies.
In the past week, the two NFF factions banned each other from all football-related activities for a minimum of five years.
