President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has said he and his colleagues in the executive committee, have forfeited their extacode and allowances for the Super Eagles’ sake.

The federation is facing financial challenges at the moment and needed a N100million bailout from the government last month, to prosecute the team’s 2018 World Cup qualifier in Zambia . Pinnick has now claimed they have now made personal sacrifices for the Eagles, ahead of this Saturday’s clash against Algeria in Uyo.

“We have isolated ourselves from any form of financial benefits in terms of allowances and extacode as a sacrifice because we want our team to have the best,” he said.

“That has been the practice for the past few months.

“We will give the players everything that is due to them.”

Each player is expected to be paid $5,000 for the 2-1 win in Ndola.

They were paid one million naira each, for the 1-0 victory over Tanzania in their final 2017 AFCON qualifier in Uyo in September.
