President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has encouraged club coaches to get themselves acquainted with modern technology to enhance their capabilities.

Pinnick was speaking after the NPFL game between Shooting Stars and Rangers in Ibadan, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Recently, the NFF acquired match analyser applications for national team coaches, after a training stint in the UK and Pinnick said it was all in a bid to improve Nigerian football.

“The last time we took 20 of our coaches to England for training, I noticed some lapses. Some of our coaches are not familiar with the use of modern technology in coaching and analysis,” he said.

“Modern technology is put into use worldwide by coaches; to meet up with such standards, our coaches must embrace it.”

He also revealed that the federation and the League Management Company (LMC), were working towards attracting support from investors for the league.

“We don’t want a situation whereby clubs will be owned by government alone. Agenda of some governments have adversely affected the development of the clubs,” he added.

“Fortunately, 3SC is one of the clubs that some of these investors are interested in supporting”.
