PHOTONEWS: UniAbuja students block airport road to protest death of student

Some students of the University of Abuja on Monday blocked the ever busy Airport road to protest the death of a female student. The development has resulted to a major gridlock on that axis.
The 200 level student, whose name is yet to be known, was reportedly knocked down by a driver on Sunday night while she was evading some robbers.
It was gathered that the incident happened in front of the school’s permanent site gate.
The protesting students, in their hundreds, reportedly blamed the school authority and the Federal Government for not providing pedestrian bridges, to hinder such accident.
As at press time, the school management is yet to comment on the incident.
