Ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, candidates Wednesday, signed a peace pact to ensure the smooth conduct of the election.
Among those who signed the pact were the All Progressives Congress, APC, contestant, Godwin Obaseki, and his counterpart from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Pst Ize-Iyamu.
A tweet by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, says the event was coordinated by the commission’s Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
