The newly appointed registrar/Chief Executive of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has officially taken over.
The outgoing registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, on Monday handed over to his successor in JAMB Headquarters in Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari had last week sacked Ojerinde and there were indications that Ojerinde had long been penciled down for sack by the government because of his ‘fight’ and disagreement with the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, over the 2016 admission exercise into Universities and other tertiary institutions.
Their disagreement was said to have further deepened after the cancellation of the Post-Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination by the Minister.
