Veteran Italian coach, Fabio Capello has revealed that Real Madrid defender Pepe’s transfer to French giants, Paris Saint-Germain has been completed and only needs to be announced.
Capello told Sky Sport Italia that Real, the player and PSG have come to an agreement that will see the Portugal defender move to the Parc des Princes next season.
Capello said, “Pepe to PSG? It’s done 100%. They met at a hotel in Cardiff.”
Pepe decided to leave Real Madrid following their offer of a one-year contract extension when he hoped for two.
The 34-year-old defender, known for his competitive nature, enjoyed a successful 10-year spell at the Bernabeu, winning three league titles, three Copa del Rey crowns and was European champion three times.
The Euro 2016 winner will leave Madrid on a free transfer, with his contract up at the end of June.
