The South East Vice-Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Austin Umahi, has insisted his brother and Governor of Ebonyi, David Umahi, is not serving any suspension by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
Austin stated this during the inauguration of the new leadership of Technical Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Ebonyi State Governor in Abakaliki on Tuesday.
He called on the public to disregard the rumour.
“There is news making round in the social media and around town today that the state governor is under suspension by the National Working committee of the our great party, PDP.
“So, I charge you as appointees of the state governor to always respond to such speculations on behalf of the government, because as far as I’m concerned such thing never happened.
“It is a rumour and I want to use this opportunity to inform the public to disregard such information,” Austin said.
