Wife of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Wednesday created a scene on the floor of the Senate when she sat on a chair reserved for the Deputy Senate President, DSP, Chief Ike Ekweremadu. This followed the absence of Ekweremadu at the day’s plenary.
Trouble started when Remi Tinubu, a Senator representing Lagos Central, sought to second a motion on the approval of the $200m Lagos state development policy operation loan from World Bank. She, at this point, stood in the corner used by the Deputy Senate President.
Just as she was about to speak, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senators present at Wednesday’s plenary rained her with much criticisms that she bowed to their pressure and left for her seat in order to second the motion.
Meanwhile, after seconding the motion, Mrs Tinubu returned to Ekweremadu’s seat, intermittently conversing with the Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume.
