Reports from Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State indicate that the entire ballots and results sheets for the Benue North-West (Zone ‘B’) Senatorial elections held yesterday have been alleged snatched by thugs.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator George Akume, is being accused of leading the attack.
He was alleged to have been accompanied by a detachment of armed men dressed in Nigerian Army uniforms, the Peoples Democratic Party in the state claimed.
The party through Bemgba Iortyom, its Publicity Secretary, said Senator Akume, is said to have lost in 5 out of the 7 local government areas of the zone.
