PDP lifts suspension of Wamakko; schedules NEC for Thursday

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has lifted its suspension of Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State.

The decision was taken after a meeting with PDP governors led by Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibopm state.

However, no mention was made in the case of the suspension of Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers state.

Meanwhile, the ruling party also announed that the party’s National Executive Council meeting will hold on Thursday, June 20 at noon.

The NEC is made up of national executive members and state governors under the platform of the party.
