PDP crisis: Party will emerge stronger reclaim power from Buhari in 2019 – Sheriff boasts

A loyalist to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, Prof Wale Oladipo, has declared that the party will emerge stronger from its crisis to dislodge the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2019.

Wale, who is the National Secretary of the former ruling party made the declaration in Osogbo, the Osun State capital while addressing journalists.

According to the Ile Ife born politician, “Our party will come out of the present crisis stronger, more united and will be poised to take over governance of this country once again. Our compatriots voted for change but you people can see now if they are enjoying the change.

“The crisis won’t last forever. The PDP has ruled the country for 16 years and we thought we would probably rule the country for a longer time.

“The PDP was not ready for the role of opposition it is playing now because we ruled for 16 years and the APC also was not prepared for governance because it has been in opposition since inception. That explains the crisis and the poor governance.”
