PDM vows to oust Okorocha, APC in Imo


The newly elected Chairman of the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) in Imo State, Hon. Nzenwa Emmanuel, has boasted that the party was well postioned to end what he termed the horrible reign of Governor Rochas Okorocha in the state.

After the inauguration of the 25-man state executive held in Owerri after the party’s congresses held at various levels in the state, Hon. Emmanuel stated that with a very strong and challenging structures carefully put in place, the PDM was going to win the governorship and other elective seats in the upcoming general elections in the state.

“What we simply achieved through the congresses is that we successfully put formidable structures on ground that will ultimately drive victory for PDM in 2015 polls.

“Imolites as we speak now, have begun to identify with the party owing to its ideology of ensuring good governance and economic emancipation and empowerment of our people.

“There is no gainsaying that PDM will take over Douglas House as well as win other legislative seats in the 2015 elections.

“Our magic is simple, the manifesto of our great party and of course credible and acceptable candidates we have resolved to field under our party platform,” He highlighted.

DailyPost recalls that Hon. Emmanuel was the leader, Obowo Legislative Council and Deputy Chairman of the old Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Imo State.

The Honourable disclosed that the new state executive had mapped out programmes and strategies for effective mobilisation of Imo indigenes to ensure that PDM becomes a popular name in the state.
