Patrick Kluivert quits PSG role as Director of Football

Patrick Kluivert is no longer the Director of Football at Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Barcelona and Holland striker, has left the former Ligue 1 champions by mutual consent, after spending a single season.

Kluivert presided over a disappointing debut campaign for coach Unai Emery, which saw their dominance of French football ended by Monaco, although PSG won the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue.

“The club would like to underline the quality of the relationships Patrick developed, over recent months, with the senior-team players and staff as well as with the administrators, educators and players at the youth academy and their families.

“The club would like to thank Patrick Kluivert for the great professionalism he always showed and wishes him all the best for the challenges he chooses to take on in the years to come,” a PSG statement released on Friday read.
