Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has attacked Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, for speaking angrily after some of the church’s pastors were kidnapped yesterday.
Reno Omokri wondered why the revered cleric had not been speaking out against the evils in the land untill now.
DAILY POST reported yesterday that five ministers of RCCG were abducted by unknown gunmen on their way to the church’s Ministers’ Conference in Lagos.
Adeboye announced the abduction on Friday at the Redeemed Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Adeboye said the abduction took place on Thursday along the Ijebu-Ode axis.
He charged the congregation to pray for the release of the abductees.
Omokri’s tweet reads, “Who can tell me what Pastor Adeboye said when suspected herdsmen killed the daughter of the leader of Afenifere? NOTHING.
“So why is Pastor Adeboye angrily talking now that gunmen have abducted 5 of his pastors? When the RIGHTEOUS are QUIET, the EVIL are ENCOURAGED.”
