Parents of the missing Chibok girls, led by the advocacy group for the release of the Chibok girls, Bring Back Our Girls Group, BBOG, on Thursday, marched to the Presidential villa to continue their demand for the release of the abducted girls.
DAILY POST recalls that the BBOG, on January 6 at their sit-out in Abuja, had reiterated their commitment in their demand for the release of the abducted girls.
The leader of the group and former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, had said there was need to remind the president of the promise he made in the Villa during their meeting with him and also during his inauguration.
In fulfillment to the commitment, the group on Thursday, insisted on meeting with the President after they marched in mass to the Villa.
DAILY POST reports that as the group alongside parents of the abducted marched into Aso Rock, a delegation from the presidency including the Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Minister of Defence and Minister of Women Affairs, met with them and said the President will not be attending to them immediately as he was involved in other engagements.
The group, however, insisted that until the President concludes his other engagements, they will sit and wait at the Banquet hall.
