Mrs Okoye, the mother of Nigeria’s music superstars, Peter and Paul Okoye of P Square is dead. Mrs Okoye was reported dead on Wednesday night, July 11, 2012 after a battle with an undisclosed illness.
She was flown abroad in May, 2012 after she was first admitted at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos.
Mrs Okoye was an influential figure in the lives of the Okoyes, which also has Jude Okoye as the manager of P Square.
In August 2011, she was at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos for the ‘Invasion’ album launch of P Square. She was once reported to have been part of P Square’s hit single, ‘Do Me’ released few years ago.
