Ozubulu killings: What God will do to those behind massacre – Stella Oduah

Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Stella Oduah, has said God would avenge the blood of the innocent people killed in a catholic church in Anambra State.

She said this while urging the police to ensure that those behind the recent massacre in Ozubulu town in Anambra are made to face the full wrath of the law.

The Senator, who yesterday described the killing as a dastard act, stresses that no matter the reason, it does not justified the killings.

Gunmen had last week Sunday attacked St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu, in which 13 persons were killed and many others injured.

Reacting to the killing, the Senator said, “Ozubulu (incident) is certainly beyond my comprehension. It is difficult to make sense out of the narration of the possible reasons for the dastardly act.

“Whatever the reason may be, it cannot justify the act, which can honestly be described as Godless.

“The House of God was defiled, humanity was desecrated, and the social environment was traumatised.”

Oduah urged security agencies to “fish out the culprits,” but added that the task would be a challenge for them.

“As my heart goes to the families of the victims, it is my prayer that the Almighty (God) will avenge the blood of the innocent.”
