Osun guber: I’ll win election without stress, Adeleke, Oyetola unfit – Omisore

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State and candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, for the September 22 governorship poll in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has boasted that none of the candidates in the race is viable enough to make him lose sleep.

He insisted that the gubernatorial election was a walk-over for him, adding that other candidates in the race lacked necessary experience and capability to govern.

Omisore made this statement over the weekend through the Director of Media and Publicity of his campaign organization, Prince Samson Falope, stressing that he is confident of winning the contest without stress.

He said, “With the readiness and support of Osun-State people towards restoration of human dignity and good governance, which the state has suffered in recent past, I will definitely take over the governance as the Executive Governor of the state, comes November 27, 2018.”

The SDP flag bearer said the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and that of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Demola Adeleke were both less of a threat to him.

He said, “People of Osun are fully aware of atrocities committed by Oyetola who has been the Chief of Staff to Aregbesola and the brain behind Aregbesola’s series of blunders he committed for almost eight years.

“The party has plunged the people into abject poverty and penury, the good people of Osun State are tired of such governance or culprit and cannot afford to go into another Four (4) years of slavery.

“This is to show that the Lagos neo-colonialist are hell bent on perpetuating their oppressive regime in Osun State at all costs, but by the help of God and the sagacious decision of the people of Osun, it will not materialize.

Speaking on the emergence of Senator Ademola Adeleke as PDP candidate, Omisore claimed that Adeleke doesn’t have intellectual and professional capabilities to handle the affairs of a financially-challenged state like Osun, adding the senator’s emergence as PDP candidate was an “illegality” that is being trailed by series of litigation.

He pointed out that the enthusiasm from the populace towards the restoration agenda of SDP in the state was highly encouraging.
