Coordinator of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Special Marshal in Osun State, S. O. Adewale, is dead.
He was crushed to death on Owena-Ilesa Road in Osun, while he was returning to Owo in Ondo State.
His wife, however, sustained severe injuries and has been admitted at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
Eye-witnesses say the deceased had parked along the road to buy fruits and food items when a fuel truck lost control and ran into his car.
Adewale’s remains has been deposited at the morgue of OAUTH.
The deceased anchored a popular weekly road safety programme on the State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC).
He is survived by four children, among whom is Dr BIodun Adewale of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, and another, Ayo Adewale, a lecturer at OAU, Ife.
Sector Commander of the FRSC in Osun State, Mohammed Husaini, said the accident involved three vehicles, adding that only Adewale lost his life.
