Osun election: How Fayose, Makinde reacted to Adeleke’s victory

The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to the victory of Sen. Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which sat in Abuja on Friday.

Fayose, who congratulated Sen. Adeleke on his victory, expressed optimism that Ekiti State will soon experience similar victory.

He tweeted that “Ultimately, Nigeria and its people will be victorious over this tyranny.”

The tweets read, “They took Ekiti and Osun States by any which way just to avoid the bandwagon effect on the Presidential election.

“Now Osun has slipped off their hands. By the power of God, Ekiti too will slip and they will ultimately lose the Presidency.

“Congratulations, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, Governor Elect of Osun State.

“Ultimately, Nigeria and its people will be victorious over this tyranny.”

Relatively, the Governor-elect of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, who also tweeted his congratulatory message as regards Adeleke’s victory, described the judgement as victory for democracy

“Congratulations, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke @IsiakaAdeleke1, the Governor-elect of Osun State. Congratulations to the people of Osun State. This is a victory for democracy.”
