The Former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for effective steps taken to tackle electoral malpractices.

Oyinlola gave the commendation in Okuku, Odo Otin Local Government Area on Saturday while speaking to newsmen after casting his vote.

He applauded INEC over peaceful atmosphere in most polling units.

According to him, the arrangement of voting booths prevented anyone from seeing who a voter voted for on the ballot paper, hence curbed electoral malpractice.

“For INEC, the way they placed the voting cubicles to prevent anybody from seeing who a voter marked on the ballot paper is okay.

“There was a little hitch when the card reader malfunctioned but another one was quickly brought and it continued,” he added
