Osinbajo orders Pencom, CCB, ICPC bosses to resume duties

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has directed the bosses and boards of the National Pension Commission (Pencom), Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), to resume duties in acting capacities pending the confirmation of their appointments by the Senate.

This is contained in a statement from the office of the acting Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Dr Habiba Muda and signed by the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Mr Bolaji Adebiyi.

Muda explained that the directive was to ensure that there was no vacuum in certain important federal institutions.

Those affected at the Pencom are Alhaji Ali Usman Ahmed Acting Chairman, Mr. Funso Doherty Acting Director-General and the four acting executive commissioners Mr. Manasseh T. Denga, Abubakar Z. Magawata, Ben Oviosun and Nyerere Anyim.

For the CCB, it involves Dr. Muhamma Isah, the Acting Chairman and the nine members of the bureau board comprising Murtala Kankia, Emmanuel E. Attah, Danjuma Sado, Ubolo I. Okpanachi, Ken Madaki Alkali, Prof. S. F. Ogundare, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Saad A. Abubakar, and Dr. Vincent Nwanli.

Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye was also directed to resume as the Acting Chairman of the ICPC.

They were among those appointed on August 1 by Osinbajo.
