The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus; a former Aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, and the Senator representing Kaduna Central district at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, have joined other well-meaning Nigerians in thanking God for saving the life of the Vice President, Pastor Yemi Osinbajo.
DAILY POST reported on Saturday that Osinbajo’s chopper crashed in Kogi State but the VP and his crew came out unhurt.
While Shehu Sani prayed that God continues to keep the Vice President, Okupe, said he was shocked by the report.
He also prayed to God to keep the Vice President.
Okupe further noted that this was the second time in seven months that Osinbajo will be involved in such an accident.
Okupe tweeted, “I was shocked to learn of the crash landing of Prof Osinbajo’s chopper.
“I was horrified 2 see pics that circulated on d social media.That this is d 2nd one in 7months is discomforting.
“May God Almighty keep u safe &well in all yr daily engagements in d Name of Jesus.I wish u well.”
Shehu Sani also tweeted, Vice President Osinbajo, May the Lord continue to save and bless your life. Amin.”
In a terse statement statement made available to DAILY POST on Sunday, Secondus said all glory should be given to God almighty for Osinbajo’s survival.
Secondus’ statement was signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Ike Abonyi.
Secondus said he joined the rest of Nigerians of goodwill in thanking God for saving the ”life of our Vice President.”
He added, “God did it for you not man and we give him all the glory and adoration.”
The Ikwere born politician further urged Nigerians “not to relent in their prayers for peaceful electioneering.”
