Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Saturday represented President Muhammadu Buhari, at the burial of the late military governor of the old Western Region, Major General Adeyinka Adebayo.
The funeral service held at the All Saints Anglican Church, Iyin Ekiti, in Ekiti State.
Osinbajo, who announced that Buhari approved the renaming of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, after the late Adebayo, added that the president would have loved to be in attendance.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion include Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, deceased son and ex-Ekiti Governor Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Chris Ngige - Minister of Labuor and Employment, Presidential adviser - Senator Femi Ojodu, Minister of Budget and National Planning - Udoma Udo Udoma, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Olusegun Mimiko – ex-governor of Ondo, among many others.
