The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has reacted to the helicopter crash involving the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
DAILY POST had reported that a chopper conveying the Vice President to a rally crashed landed in Kabba, Kogi State on Saturday.
Reacting, the governor thanked God for saving the lives of Osinbajo and members of his entourage.
A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said: “Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom joins other Nigerians in thanking God for sparing the life of Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo when the chopper carrying him and others crash-landed earlier today in Kabba, Kogi State.
“Governor Ortom says only God deserves praise for ensuring that the Vice President and those travelling with him came out of the aircraft unhurt.
“He prays God to continue to have mercy on Nigeria, especially as the country goes into the general election this month.”
