Asisat Oshoala marked her Arsenal Ladies debut with a goal, in their 3-1 victory over Reading FC Women on Wednesday night at Meadow Park.

The Super Falcons’ player first appearance for the club, came just a few days after her move from Liverpool Ladies.

Dominique Jansse put the Gunners ahead in the 34th minute, before Oshoala was denied by the woodwork nine minutes before the break.

However, she was not to be denied in the second half, as she calmly rounded the goalkeeper and slotted into an empty net.

Boho Sayo pulled one back for Reading, but Danielle Carter restored a two-goal lead for Arsenal.

The win temporarily puts the Pedro Martínez Losa’s side atop of the WSL with three points and two goals.
