Oshoala calls for proper structure in Nigerian women football

Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, has called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to establish proper structure to ensure development of women football in the country.

Oshoala, who plays for Arsenal Ladies, also stated that the Falcons’ protest over their unpaid allowances and bonuses, was to see the game grow well in Nigeria.

“The female league is not helping matters at all, not the Falcons. We need a proper developmental plan to see women’s football grow. In my opinion we are not getting it,” Oshoala told CompleteSports.

“We have the League Management Committee supporting the men’s league which is very good and we need something like that for the women’s league in Nigeria.

“We need a proper structure to help women’s football grow.”

She also appreciated the efforts of the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung and promised that the Falcons will perform better at the next Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana.

“We appreciate all what you have been doing for the team regardless of what we’ve heard about you.

“We are not fighting for ourselves because of money, lbut for the future of women’s football in Nigeria”, Oshoala added‎.
