A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday berated the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole over a comment that the ruling party was the largest in the world.
Omokri said Oshiomhole’s comment was an indication that he was suffering from the, “stress of his job.”
The former Edo State Governor had in Abuja on Wednesday declared that APC had registered over 15.6 million members.
But the former presidential aide faulted the comment, wondering if APC was bigger than parties in the United States, US, and Communist Party of China, among others.
In a tweet, Omokri wrote: “The stress of the job is really telling on Adams Oshiomhole. How can he say that the APC is the world’s largest party? What about the GOP and Democratic Parties in America? What of the Communist Party of China or India’s ruling BJP party or Pakistan Muslim League?”
Omokri spoke on a prediction by the Wall Street Journal that President Muhammadu Buhari was Nigeria’s problem.
“In 2016, the @WSJ was so prophetic when it declared that @MBuhari is “Nigeria’s problem, not its solution.”
“The Wall Street Journal is not given to frivolous talk. After they gave that verdict, Nigeria went on to become the world’s headquarters for extreme poverty,” he added.
