In a week when Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, admitted he would like Didier Drogba to take up another role at the club after his playing career, Oscar has now revealed that the Ivorian is also playing Mr Motivator.
Oscar explained that the veteran striker, is already sharing some of his experience and giving team talks, even when he is on the bench.
Drogba scored and provided an assist, as the Blues hammered Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 on Wednesday
“Didier speaks before the game to all the attacking players. He wants to score every game. He wants to score and to help with the game,” Oscar said.
“I saw him playing on the TV when I was young, and we now play together. He speaks not just with me, but with all the attacking players. He’s scored so many goals for Chelsea and now he’s pushed so much the young players.
“He is a fantastic player and a fantastic person, and I am so happy he is a part of the team and I am learning a lot from his experience.”
The former Ivory Coast captain turns 37 in March.
