Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has joined other Nigerians in sympathizing with victims of the oil tanker fire disaster in Onitsha, Anambra State which led to the loss of some lives and destruction of property worth millions of Naira.
Governor Ortom, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase described the incident as devastating and unfortunate.
He said there was need for urgent steps to be taken to stem the spate of fire disasters across the country.
Governor Ortom also prayed God to grant those who died in the fire incident eternal rest and their families the strength to bear the loss. He also wished the injured speedy recovery.
