Ortom sacks exams board boss in Benue

Governor Samuel Ortom has approved the termination of the appointment of the Executive Secretary of the Benue State Examinations Board, Mr Uchi Andrew Torhile.

Ortom has also approved the appointment of Mr. Isaac Iorbee Hon as the new Executive Secretary of the Board.

A statement by Prof Dennis Ityavyar, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, said the appointment takes immediate effect.

The outgoing Executive Secretary is directed to handover to the incoming Executive Secretary within 3 days.

Meanwhile, Ortom has stated that those planning to rig elections in 2019 should shelve the idea because the era of rigging was gone forever.

He spoke at the funeral of the late David Ukuma, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Benue State Council.

The funeral Mass was held at LGEA Primary School, Anshiva,Tsaav Council Ward of Ukum local government.
