Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom commiserates with the former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Makarfi over the death of his father, Alhaji Muhammadu Makarfi.
The Governor describes the late Alhaji Makarfi as a man of integrity who devoted his life to the service of God and made significant contributions to the growth of the nation.
He says though the loss of the statesman is painful, his family, associates and other Nigerians should take solace in the fact that he has left behind a reliable son, Senator Ahmed Makarfi who has demonstrated dynamic leadership qualities on many occasions.
Governor Ortom urges the former Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP National Caretaker Committee to look unto God for consolation.
He prays for the repose of the soul of Alhaji Makarfi and fortitude for his entire family to bear the loss.
