Orji pays condolence visit to Jim Nwobodo over death of eldest son

Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has condoled with the former Governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo and his family over the death of his eldest son, Dr Ifeanyi Nwobodo who died of cancer.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the former Governor in his country home, Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu State, Governor Orji described the death of Dr. Nwobodo as unfortunate and unexpected and urged the bereaved family to take heart.

The Abia chief executive implored Senator Nwobodo to remain strong and hand everything to God.

He prayed that such unfortunate occurrence should not befall the family again.

He noted that the deceased was doing very well as a medical doctor until his sudden death, pointing out that death was a necessary end for all mortals.

Receiving the Governor, Senator Nwobodo appreciated Governor Orji for the visit and stated that the death of their son was most painful.

According to him, his late son had cancer and had started recovering following treatment in the USA until his eventual death on his return to Nigeria.

He commended Governor Orji for the able way he is piloting Abia State, assuring him that history would vindicate him.
