The three kids kidnapped in Lagos last week by their nanny have been rescued.

Their father, Lere Orekoya, confirmed the development in a text message to some journalists early Wednesday morning.

The joyous father thanked the journalists for the assistance they rendered while the family’s ordeal lasted.

He, however, did not say if any ransom was paid

The nanny, Mary Akinloye, had abducted the kids – Aderomola (11 months old), Adedamola (4 years old), Demola (6 years old) – just a day after she resumed for duties.

The suspect demanded for an initial ransom of N15 million and later reduced it to N13 million.

She also threatened to kill the trio if the money was not paid.

It is expected that the Lagos Police command will release an official statement on the update later today.
