This was contained in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST by the command’s Public Relation Officer, SP Abdu Jinjiri, in Dutse.

He explained that the development was recorded after several strategies were adopted by the operation “Puff Adder “after it was launched by the Jigawa State command as directed by the Inspector General of Police.

Jinhiri said the operation was launched in order to checkmate any incursion of fleeing criminals from neighboring states in Jigawa.

He noted that the Jigawa State police command embarked on some security measures, including surveillance, intelligence-led raid of black spots, robust and intensive patrols, strategic engagement with other law enforcement agents and members of the public in order to curtail any act of criminality in the state.

Jinjiri, therefore, urged members of the public to assist security agencies with any vital information that will help in discharge of their responsibilities.
