Operation Cat Race: Troops recover dangerous weapons in Taraba villages

Troops of the Operation Ayem Akpatuma (Cat Race) in Benue State have recovered dangerous arms from villages in Taraba State.

Texas Chukwu, Brigadier General, Director Army Public Relations, in a statement said the ongoing exercise had been successful and progressive.

According to him, “Sequel to the on going EXERCISE AYAM AKPATUMA (CAT RACE), troops in conduct of cordon and search operations at KWESATI and TATI villages across Ussa and Takum Local Government Areas of Taraba State have recovered locally made weapons.

“During the process of condone and search, the alerted troops recovered 5 weapons and have been back loaded. Troops continue to make progress as the exercise proceeds at pace.”
