The death has been announced of Pa Lamidi Adams, father of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land, Otunba Gani Adams.
Pa Adams passed away in the early hours of Saturday in a private hospital in Lagos at the age of 80.
This was confirmed in a statement personally signed by Gani Adams and made available to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The statement reads: “Pa Adams worked at Desmony Nigeria Ltd, an Italian company, as ‘Head of Transport Unit’ before venturing into his personal transport business.
“He was survived by Gani Adams, Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land, and many children.
“Burial arrangements will be announced later.”
