Opa Williams undergoes successful surgery in India

A week after Night of a Thousand Laughter producer, Opa Williams, revealed he will be undergoing surgery for an undisclosed ailment, his reps have confirmed that the operation was successful.

Williams had said he couldn’t wait to go under the knife “and get back to Lagos and revisit my drawn things to be done for the year 2012. This was just a distraction that God has conquered.”

“Opa Williams is hale and hearty. He had a very successful surgery and he spoke with me early today. The doctor has given him a clean bill of health,” Justin Akpovi-Esade, who works with the producer’s Media Image Managers, said.

Williams, who acknowledged the numerous outpour of love on Facebook, with a simple ‘Thank you’ message, is set to return to Nigeria sometime this week.
