The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday reserved judgments in the four separate appeals filed by the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnghen.
Onnoghen is standing trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, over allegations of fraudulent declaration of assets.
DAILY POST had reported last week Wednesday that the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, adjourned four appeals filed by Walter Onnoghen.
The appeals are – CA/A/44c/2019; CA/A/CA/A/63c/19; CA: A/70c/2019 and CA/A/114c/2019.
However, at the resumed sitting on Wednesday (today), a three-man bench of the court, led by Justice Steven Adah, after taking arguments from parties, in respect of the appeals, said they will be informed when judgments were ready, the Nation reports.
Chief Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN) led the suspended CJN’s legal team while Mr. Aliyu Umar (SAN), led the Federal Government’s team.
