Prof. Yemi Osinbajo
The All Progressives Congress, APC, vice presidential candidate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has alleged that the major opponents of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) are corrupt Nigerians who are afraid of being probed if the former Head of State wins the March 28 presidential election.
Osinbajo made this claim over the weekend while speaking in an interactive forum with some Christian and Muslim leaders at a forum organised by the All Christian Leaders/Ministers Forum, ACLMF, where he reiterated the resolve of his principal to tackle corruption headlong.
Stressing that the fear of being probed has been the major headache for Buhari’s opponents, Osinbajo maintained that it is the reason behind all the efforts to run down the APC presidential candidate through mudslinging, rather than embarking on issue-based campaign.
He went on to accuse the President Goodluck Jonathan-led Federal Government of squandering the nation’s economy by allowing oil theft to thrive under its watch. He then assured that this will be a thing of the past by the time the APC forms the next government.
The vice presidential candidate restated APC’s manifestos and agenda on how to feed pupils of public school a meal per day, youth empowerment programme, training programme for graduates after their national youth service, encouragement for farmers by buying their farm products among others.
