Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olusegun Oni has described as shocking and sad the death of Jide Tinubu, the first son of the National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Oni in a statement signed by his media aide, Steve Alabi in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, said, “I received the sad news of the death of Jide Tinubu, the son of our National Leader, Sen. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, “with great shock and grief”
“I condole with our National Leader and former governor of Lagos state, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire family, it is never easy losing a child or any loved one.
“Anyone who has met Jide before this unfortunate incident will know that Nigeria has lost a cerebral, industrious, gentle and a future leader. This is one death, too many.
” We shared in the grief at this moment of the loss of our dear son and prayed the Almighty Allah to be with the family at this difficult moment.
“We pray Almighty Allah (SWT) grant the late Jide eternal rest.
“I want to on behalf of our party and members across the South region condole with our National Leader, the immediate family, Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole.
Jide, the first son of the former governor of Lagos state, Sen. Bola Tinubu died on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by the Lagos State Chairman of the APC, Chief Henry Ajomale. (APC)
