One person has been killed while 10 others sustained injuries in a fatal motor accident along Ringim-Dutse road in Jigawa State.
The accident was said to have occurred at about 7:30 pm when two vehicles, J5 model and hijet had a head to head collision.
The Public Relations officer, Jigawa State command of the Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the accident, saying the accident involved a 23-year -old Yusuf Ya’u, an Immigration officer in Jigawa command who died in the accident.
He explained that 10 other persons sustained various degrees of injuries including a one-year-old baby, two female and six male.
One of the victims who survived the accident who is an uncle to the deceased, Aramma Mukhtar Babo explained that the incident happened on their way back home from farm to convey part of their farm produce when a J5 bus coming from Gujungu market on high speed lost control and hit their vehicle.
DAILY POST learnt that the deceased has already been buried according to Islamic teachings while others who sustained injuries are still at Ringim General Hospital for medical attention.
