Indigenes of the ancient Ondo kingdom in Ondo State are now worried over the whereabouts of their monarch, the Osemawe of Ondo kingdom, Oba Victor Adesimbo Ademefun Kiladejo.

DAILY POST gathered that Oba Kiladejo, who is a prominent king in Yoruba land, was last seen in his palace two weeks ago, after which he reportedly traveled out of his domain for personal assignments.

Also, the mobile telephone lines of the monarch was switched off.

However, rumours are rife in Ondo town that the monarch might have been involved in an auto crash and could be receiving treatment in an unknown hospital.

A source at the palace of the traditional ruler confirmed that the monarch had been absent from the palace for almost two weeks and had not sent message to any of the palace chiefs.

When DAILY POST visited the palace of the Osemawe on Wednesday morning, some traditional chiefs were seen discussing about the long absence of Oba Kiladejo from the palace.

A resident of the community, who does not want his name in print said he had earlier scheduled an appointment with the monarch on the issue concerning Akure Kingdom.

Efforts to get the official reaction from the palace, however, proved abortive, just as the palace chiefs refused to speak with newsmen on the matter.
