In a statement jointly singed by ARD President, Isaiah Oke and General Secretary, Ganiyu Ahmed, 11 allegations were levelled against the management.
ARD noted that rather than the management to respond to the allegations, its 15 executive members were queried.
Some of the allegations include “unjust letter of relocation of 16 resident doctors including one that was employed as Senior Registrar to only offer services and not training.
“Stoppage of deduction of capitation of ARD welfare Scheme, whereas deductions are being made for other professional and non-professional bodies in the centre.
“Perpetual use of insulting words while addressing ARD members. Such words include, vagabonds, bunch of nonentities as if doctors are his house boys.
“Refusal to listen to ARD or respond to our correspondence. Threat to partition and conversion of doctors lounge to offices.
“Issuance of one month extension to a house officer that attended ARD meeting which was conveyed by your humble self.
“Placing Public Service Rule over constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on freedom of association by demanding that the President of the Association, Dr. Oke steps down as the President before you can have dealing with the association and likewise, making it a condition precedent before signing Resident for Examinations”.
However, the association said it is open to dialogue, and would only embark on an indefinite strike if the management fails to respond to their allegations.
