The visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Ondo State has been postponed by the state Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to November 10.

Buhari’s visit, which was expected to kick-start the party’s governorship campaign on November 3, was shifted to November 10.

The Publicity Secretary of the state chapter of the party, Abayomi Adesanya, explained at a press conference in Akure, the state capital, on Tuesday, that the postponement was due to the “tight schedule of Mr President”.

According to Adesanya, “The president wants to be present at the campaign rally in person.

“This is due to the economic importance of Ondo State in the development of Nigeria.”

Recall that the President reportedly endorsed the party’s flag bearer in the November 26 governorship election, Rotimi Akeredolu, yesterday.
