Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has commended the Judiciary for reinstating Eyitayo Jegede as the PDP candidate for Ondo State governorship election slated for November 26.
A statement signed by his media assistant, Simeon Nwakaudu, advised Nigerians not to lose hope in the judiciary no matter the level of attacks on judicial officers.
He added that no matter the level of intimidation by the powers that be, there are resilient judicial officers, who would always enthrone the rule of law in the country.
The governor urged the people of Ondo State to ignore the change mantra and vote massively for Eyitayo Jegede to enable him continue with the ‘giant developmental strides’ of outgoing Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
Wike said: “I wish Eyitayo Jegede the PDP candidate, the best in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
“Ondo people know that Eyitayo Jegede is their candidate and only hope to continue the good works of Governor Mimiko.

“I rejoice with members of our great party, the PDP, the good people of Ondo state I have no doubt that the candidacy of Mr. Eyitayo Jedege will help solidify the foundation of growth already laid down by Governor Mimiko”
